Royal Basket Trucks, Inc is seeking a talented Industrial Engineer to help us streamline operations, improve systems, and ensure we meet production goals while maintaining the highest standards.

PRIMARY DUTIES

  • Analyzing, designing, and optimizing production processes, systems, and workflows to reduce cost and maintain high product quality
  • Conducting and maintaining accurate time studies
  • Developing and maintaining routes in Royal’s ERP / MRP systems
  • Assisting with project management, quality and compliance, data analysis and reporting, and training and development
  • Process Improvement and Optimizations
  • Operations Support - Conduct time studies for the purposes of standard costing, process improvement, and production staff accountability. - Serve as the primary author and maintainer of routes in Dynamics GP - In collaboration with the Continuous Improvement and Quality Assurance teams, collect and analyze production data to identify trends, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement. - Author, implement, and maintain internal and external documents including Standard Work, Assembly Instructions, and Operations Manuals.
  • Quality Compliance - Support Continuous Improvement and Quality Assurance by analyzing nonconformance data and assisting with root cause analysis and corrective actions. - Support Operations and accountability initiatives by providing training and support to production staff on new systems, processes, and tools or equipment. - Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and safety regulations.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum of a High School education or GED, bachelor’s degree in industrial or manufacturing engineering is preferred
  • 3-7 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably mid-sized or similar in scale
  • Certifications in SolidWorks are beneficial
  • Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt preferred.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  • Speaks clearly; required to read, write, and understand English
  • Intermediate to advanced math skills
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office suite of products
  • Experience with MS Dynamics GP, Draftsight, SolidWorks, and SolidWorks PDM preferred
  • Experience with Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, or other graphic design applications is beneficial
  • Strong knowledge of processes commonly used in the manufacturing of material handling equipment including plastics thermoforming and rotomolding, metal fabrication, woods processing, sewing, and general assembly

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to walk, stand, and sit for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds from time to time.
  • Have or obtain forklift certification.
  • Able to wear appropriate personal protective equipment where required.
  • Must be able to withstand shop elements such as heat, noise, odors, and dust.
  • Must be able to differentiate colors.
