Description Summary: Under the direction of the Quality Manager, the QA Technician will have high visibility and manage day-to-day quality inspections. This individual must have a positive and solution-oriented attitude.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Hands-on and real-time determination and documentation of non-conformances from the production floor.
  
• Monitoring production and material quality through scheduled audits and tests.
  
• Participation in regular Continuous Improvement initiatives.
  
• Reporting QA/QC KPI’s to management along with making recommendations for corrective actions.
  
• Respond to QC calls for all production departments as the occur an determine disposition of non-conformances.
  
• Enter qualifying QC calls into QC database.
  
• Escalate severe or reoccurring non-conformances to the QAM and Department Lead for immediate corrective action.
  
• Understand the detailed specifications for purchased raw material and supplies, inspect qualifying incoming raw material, and recommend disposition for non-conformances.
  
• Assist Receiving personnel with determining disposition of returned finished goods.
  
• Proactively and randomly audit WIP for non-conformances and record findings accordingly.
  
• Help maintain accountability of production team to acceptable standards for quality by working with Department Leads to develop an intimate knowledge of go / no-go criteria.
  
• Participate in the development and implementation of enhanced QA process and procedures.
  

Qualifications:

· Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and proprietary software

· Strong organizational and analytical skills

· Experience with QuickBooks and Microsoft Dynamics GP – a plus not required

· Good interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills

· Fluent in English

Education

• High School Diploma or GED, higher education is a plus
  
• LSS Green or Black Belt is beneficial

Experience Requirements

• 5+ years’ experience in a QA/QC capacity specifically in a manufacturing environment
